VOLUNTEERING

We pride ourselves with our involvement in our community.
Some of our most recent charitable events are below, but for more information take a look at our Facebook page!

PLUNGE A BROTHER

This past October, most of the brothers on campus particpated in our yearly Plunge a Brother fundraiser. This year we teamed up with the ladies of Alpha Sigma Alpha in hopes to increase donations.

Over three cold days, the brothers and sisters stood outside the Tiger Statue in their bathing suits, waiting to be drenched in cold water. With each bucket costing just one dollar, it was an easy buy for anyone wanting to drench one of us. At the conclusion of the fundraiser, we earned a total of $660.00 that will be put towards our Polar Plunge team this year.

FALL CLEANUP 2014

On October 25th, eleven brothers volunteered for the 4thAnnual Intergenerational Fall Cleanup. The purpose for this cleanup is to bring two generations together, the baby boomers and the millennials. We went to the homes of the elderly that are not as mobile anymore to rake their leaves. All together, we filled six bags with unwanted leaves.

BARN BUILDING

Jim Francesca organized a community service project to build a barn and assisted in home renovations for the Pilon-Morgan family, who has endured hardship due to being diagnosed with familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP). The brothers were split into two groups; one group removed a wall in the basement and dug out an old well that had been filled with mud so they could fill the well with concrete and staked the backyard out for the barn. The other group performed renovations to the floors throughout the house, painted the roof and walls and removed dirt from the basement to have concrete installed.
